Ok, I just has the worst experience of my life. Tim and I went to What a burger - got it to go. The boys (Duncan and Chewy) rode with us. As we are coming into the door at home, I held the door open cause Chewy was still in the front yard. Well, I little bird has taken up residence in the doorway....she startede flying around the light and then flew in the house. So, what do the think the cats did.....started going crazy trying to catch the poor bird. It fly upstairs and then downstairs, then back up again. Tim had the broom - he was hitting the cats and trying to shoo the bird out the front or back door. Finally the bird landed on the back door and I slowly got behind the door and bearly touched it - thank goodness the bird flew out into the back yard. So I slam the door and run to the front and shut that one too. Well the little bird was so stressed that it stayed at the back door. I checked I few times and it was still there. About 30 minutes later I turned the light on and no bird. So I let Duncan and Chewy out back to take a piss. Duncan ran to one of the window ledges in the back and sure enought there was the little bird sitting there, once Chewy got in the action it was all over, he grab the bird in his mouth and would not let go. Here I am screaming in the back yard and Tim is inside trying to lay the wood floor in our bedroom. He comes running outside and chases Chewy around. Once he got him he pryed his mouth open and I swear he goulped (sp?) the whole bird down. Oh my goodness, how can a dog swallow a bird whole. Lord, I am in tears, the little bird had a nest in the front with who knows how many eggs.....and I have a murderous dog in the house. I'll never sleep tonight..........
